Christi Hollingshead, Principal
Christi Hollingshead began working in the Jackson Public School District in 1992 as a fourth grade teacher at Watkins Elementary School. In the past twenty years, she has served as a teacher at Watkins and Smith Elementary Schools, assistant principal at Walton and Power APAC Elementary Schools, and principal at McWillie Elementary School. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State University and my Masters of Science Degree from Mississippi College. She is beginning her thirteenth year as a principal and is looking forward to serving the students and parents at Bailey APAC Middle School.
Mark Townsend, Assistant Principal
I am going into my eighteenth year as an educator and lifelong learner. My teaching experience includes stops in Rankin and Copiah counties, and now Jackson Public Schools. My wife, Denise Townsend, is the librarian at Bates Elementary in JPS, and our daughter and son are currently matricualting through Jackson Public Schools. We are also thirteen year residents of Jackson, MS. I have a Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees from Jackson State University and will be recieving my Educational Specialist Degree in Leadership from Mississippi College this December. There is a huge task at hand of developing our scholars into profound thinkers, innovators, and problem solvers. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our students, parents, faculty, staff, and communities. We are ready to "CHARGE" into this 2015-16 school year as the mighty, mighty, mighty, Bailey APAC Knights!!
Dr. Sheila J. Gilmore, Assistant Principal
I’d like to welcome you - new and returning families and students - to Bailey APAC Middle School. I am honored work with a staff and community that values high academic standards coupled with character development and who work as a team to help students reach their full potential. Contributing to the continued development and nurturing of such an outstanding learning community as your assistant principal is truly rewarding.
I am an alumna of Mississippi State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting/Print Journalism. I am also a graduate of Mississippi College where I received my Masters of Education and Specialist degrees respectively. I recently recieved a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Mississippi College. I have more than 17 years of experience in the field of education as a teacher, librarian, literacy coach, instructional interventionist and assistant principal.
