Mark Townsend, Assistant Principal

I am going into my eighteenth year as an educator and lifelong learner.  My teaching experience includes stops in Rankin and Copiah counties, and now Jackson Public Schools.  My wife, Denise Townsend, is the librarian at Bates Elementary in JPS, and our daughter and son are currently matricualting through Jackson Public Schools.  We are also thirteen year residents of Jackson, MS.  I have a Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees from Jackson State University and will be recieving my Educational Specialist Degree in Leadership from Mississippi College this December.  There is a huge task at hand of developing our scholars into profound thinkers, innovators, and problem solvers.  I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our students, parents, faculty, staff, and communities.  We are ready to "CHARGE" into this 2015-16 school year as the mighty, mighty, mighty, Bailey APAC Knights!!
